Paul Moriarity trained at Manchester University where he earned a BA (Honors) in Drama. Pauls theatre credits are extensive and include leading roles at the Liverpool Everyman Manchester Library, Watford Palace, Bristol Old Vic, Bolton Octagon, Miss Julie with Prospect Theatre Company and Theatre 7:84. He has appeared with the Royal Shakespeare Company in both Stratford and London. His roles have included Menas in Antony & Cleopatra, The Narrator in Last Days of the Commune, Driver in Mens Beano, Patroclus in Troilus and Cressida, Cornwall in King Lear, Antonio in Twelfth Night, Lennox in Macbeth, Bullinger in Schewyk, Mog in Dingo, Son in Bingo, ONeill in Captain Swing, Jay in The Innocent, Malcolm in Bandits, Baxter in The Churchill Play, and Stephano in The Tempest. His Royal National Theatre credits include David Hares trilogy Murmuring Judges, The Absence of War (also adapted for television), and Racing Demon, directed by Sir Richard Eyre, God and Caiaphas in The Mysteries, Butcher in Arturo Ui, Likospastov in Black Snow, and Ezekiel in The Crucible. In London, Paul has appeared in Little Eyolf (Hammersmith), Chicken (Riverside Studios), Schools Out (Theatre Royal, Stratford East), Oi For England and Elizabeth I (Royal Court), Six Men of Dorset (Shaw Theatre), The Contractor (Fortune), Serious Money (Wyndhams), and The Mysteries (Lyceum Strand). He has toured with Actors From The London Stage in Much Ado About Nothing and their most recent production of Macbeth. He has appeared in over 100 television productions including Minder, Coronation Street, Saracens, Z Cars, Troilus and Cressida, Between the Lines, Maigret, Comic Strip, The Bill, Wycliffe, Pride and Prejudice, Murder Host Horrid, and Peak Practice. Paul has regularly appeared in The Knock, The Gentle Touch, and A Touch of Frost, as well as playing George Palmer in EastEnders, and has appeared in Jack of Hearts and Night & Day for the BBC. His film credits include Ken Loachs Hidden Agenda, Quest for Love, and Five Go Mad on Nuclear Fuels. |
