Elizabeth Stanley has recently stepped into the role of producer and has numerous projects in various stages of development both in the US and abroad. She also manages a select number of extremely talented writer-directors who are on the cusp of breaking through.
From 1997 to September 2004, Ms. Stanley served as the Assistant Executive Director/Director of Organizing for the Directors Guild of America. From 1987 to 1997, she was the Administrator (chief executive) for the Directors Guild-Producer Training Plan, the pre-eminent US entertainment industry joint labor management training plan.
During her 17 years in the film and television business, Ms. Stanley has developed strong professional relationships with directors, writers, producers, agents, managers, distributors, sales agents and others. She has a firm working knowledge of all aspects of film production, from inception to completion.
Ms. Stanley also serves on a number of Advisory Boards for independent film organizations in the US, including IFP/Project Involve (a mentoring program for filmmakers of color), the Latino Entertainment Media Institute, and Visual Communications (Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival).
