The Lab is currently accepting proposals from artists who wish to develop new works for film, theatre, television, radio and multi-media performance.

Interested artists are invited to submit the following:

1. A cover letter.
2. A written statement, treatment, synopsis, or the like, which explains and/or outlines your project or idea. All statements remain strictly confidential. Three pages maximum, please.
3. A c.v. or resume for each project participant.
4. Optional: a sample or excerpt in VHS, DVD or CD format, photos, artwork, images and/or other supporting materials, if available, which you feel may be central to conveying the nature of your project.

Please note: We deeply regret that we are unable to return any materials at this time. To alleviate this, we hope to be able to receive submissions electronically in the not-too-distant future. In the meanwhile, we ask you to submit copies only - no original or irreplaceable materials, please.

The Professional Artists Lab welcomes the participation of the community. We're aiming to bring many of our events into downtown Santa Barbara, and the neighboring communities, in the very near future, because we believe the arts make a difference to everyone. Whether you live in Santa Barbara or are just in town for a visit, we hope you'll become involved in the Lab and take advantage of our offerings and events.
